Annapurna Panorama Poon Hill Trek (Also known as small Annapurna Circuit Trek) is one of the most famous trekking destinations lying in Myagdi district of western Nepal.  Popular for its easy trekking trail, this trail offers magnificent views of Himalaya ranges such as Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Mt. Annapurna-I (8091m), Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal, Barhasikhar, Mt. Nilgiri South, Mt. Tukuche, Mt. Dhampus and Mt. Hiuchuli. Trekkers can enjoy from scenic riverbanks; picturesque forest valleys; diverse flora and fauna; Hindu and Buddhist shrines; to attractive traditional villages of ethnic communities of the Magar, Gurung, Ghale, and Thakali.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m) 
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our Green representative and driver will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your designated hotel. The representative will help you to check into your hotel. In the hotel please check the notice board for further program and you will be briefed about your trip by your trip Leader following with welcome dinner. 

Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley
Kathmandu valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. In the morning, after breakfast, you will be guided to visit renowned and one of the largest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath and Bouddha Stupa. After lunch, you will be given free to explore yourself this fascinating City of Temples like Swoyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square or Narayanhiti Museum.  

Day 03: Kathmandu – Pokhara (850m)
Early morning, after having breakfast you will be driven to Pokhara city, 200 km west from Kathmandu. It takes 5-6 hours on a tourist vehicle.  We will be passing through beautiful forests, deep gorges and Nepalese villages, following the white water river on our way to the destination.  

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul - Tikhedhunga (1570m) 
The day will mark the beginning of your trek. The trek will start from Nayapul, which is about an hour drive away from Pokhara in a private vehicle. Upon reaching Nayapul, you will be walking for tentatively 30 minutes along the bank of Modi Khola and reach Birethanti (1015m), a large village with many shops and teahouses.  The trail then continues through valley of Hille crossing the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola and ultimately we will end the journey for the day in Tikhedhunga (1570m). 

Day 05: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2840m) 
Today you will ascend the path that leads Bhurungdi Khola and Ulleri village to Ghorepani. The name Ghorepani in Nepali means "horse-water" owing to its role as an important campsite for traders before it became a trekker's stop. Ghorepani has been fascinating tourists and trekkers with its small shops and stalls selling local products and crafts.   

Day 06: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2800m) 
Today is an early start as we have to walk up to Poonhill before breakfast . It is famous for its ideal location to view  sunrise along with majestic panoramic view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri & Manaslu ranges. After breakfast we leave Ghorepani and soon enter the Rhododendron forest (very colourful in spring) and start climbing up on the staircases to get to a ridge which is almost the same height as Poonhill from where you have almost the same view as what you had from Poonhill. We can see many mountains of the Annapurna & Dhaulagiri ranges  and also the world's deepest gorge. We walk few more meters up and then all the way down to Deurali and Banthanti. After crossing a small stream we have a final ascent to a village Tadapani. There are many Tibetians in the village selling things for the tourists to take back home as a souveniers. Great sunset view on Machhapuchhare from our lodge and great sunrise on Annapurna south and Hiunculi.

Day 07: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m) 
We leave the village and start walking through the forest where you have a chance to see the Langurs (monkey with grey body and black face) jumping from one tree to another at the initial steps. We then slowly descend further down to another Bhanthanti a place with couple of small lodges. the trails gets descend more to cross a small stream and soon we can see the Ghandruk village from a distance and finally another hour of walk will get us to this big village of Gurung community, Ghandruk. This is the second largest Gurung village after Siklis. Good view of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare from the village. Ghandruk is famous for catering to the requirements of all trekkers’ who hit the trail through this route. 

Day 08: Ghandruk to Tolka (1700m)
We retrace our steps back to the entrance gate of Ghandruk Village and descend down towards the Modi Khola walking on stone steps after our breakfast. We walk through terraced fields and pass through a school to reach a small linear settlement of Kyumi. We then cross a steel suspension bridge after which the trail climbs up gradually through terraced fields towards Landruk. After lunch break the trails undulates and traverses for some time and we climb for a section to reach a small settlement of Tolka. 

Day 09: Tolka to Dhampus (1650m) 
Leaving Tolka, the trail steadily climbs through the forests to reach a small teashop after which the trails ascends to reach Pitam Deurali where we can view the Dhampus village. Trail then decends following the ridge through rhododendron & oak forests with great views of the Annapurna mountains. The trail and we reach the settlement of Pothana where we take our lunch. From Pothana the trail descends for another hour to reach the Gurung village of Dhampus. Dhampus offers excellent panoramic views of the Annapurna range.

Day 10: Dhampus to Phedi & drive to Pokhara (850m) 
The day marks the end of the trek. There will be plenty of time to capture this majestic views of the mountains before we trek towards Phedi to catch the vehicle to go back to Pokhara. While moving forward to Phedi from Dhampus, you will see be walking through beautiful forests, hills, and can be seen Himalayas, rivers etc.

Day 11: Fly to Kathmandu (1350m) 
After breakfast, you will be driven to the Pokhara airport and we will fly back to Kathmandu. The entire day in the capital is free for some shopping and relaxation. Its a last day of our whole trip so at the end your Leader will organize last group dinner before you leave. 

Day 12: Depart Kathmandu (1350m)
After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take you to the international airport for your flight home.  Or if you want to continue your stay in Nepal we will assist you to organize things during your stay.
