Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is a moderate nature trek that starts at Kande, approx. drive of about 45 minutes from Pokhara to the foot Pothana [Annapurna Base Camp, 4130m] of Mt. Annapurna, one of the most magnificent peaks in the world including sacred mountain Fishtail  (6997m). The trail takes you through fascinating traditional villages of Nepal’s ethnic communities of the Gurung, Magar, and Thakali who will greet you very warmly if you cared to stop for a conversation. The sceneries seen throughout this trek grace the landscape of the Himalayas where imagination defines the beauty of nature as an experience that can never be forgotten.
This rugged adventure, with plenty of time to explore Annapurna areas, follows the classic route to the Base Camp (4,130 meters) of Annapurna Trek Area including sacred mountain Fishtail (6997m). Starting from Kande, end at Naya pul ; this Annapurna trek takes us through the Gurung villages, where we enjoy their friendly hospitality and experience arguably the most dramatic mountain views in the Mid-West Nepal.)

-This wonder trip can be done anytime of the year except during the monsoon [July through August]

Day 15 – Depart Kathmandu

Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our Green representative and driver will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your designated hotel. The representative will help you to check into your hotel. In the hotel please check the notice board for further program and you will be briefed about your trip by your trip Leader following with welcome dinner

Day 02: City Tour in Kathmandu

Kathmandu valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. In the morning, after breakfast, you will be guided to visit renowned and one of the largest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath and Bouddha Stupa. After lunch, you will be given free to explore yourself this fascinating City of Temples like Swoyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square or Narayanhiti Museum.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara [850m]

Early morning, after having breakfast you will be driven to Pokhara city, 200 km west from Kathmandu. It takes 5-6 hours on a tourist vehicle.  We will be passing through beautiful forests, deep gorges and Nepalese villages, following the white water river on our way to the destination.  

Day 04: Pokhara to Kande & Trek to Pothana [1700m]

This day will mark the beginning of your trek. For this, in the early morning, after having breakfast you will be driven to Kande, It takes around 40-45 mins on a tourist vehicle where the trek starts. After 2 hours of hiking we pass through Australian Camp and will reach to Pothana.  

Day 05: Pothana to Landruk [2100m]

You can have your first glance of snow-capped mountains from Pothana with the early morning sunrise. After breakfast, we will head towards Deurali which offers splendid view of Mt. Machhapuchhre and ranges along with Mt. Dhaulagiri for the first time. Walking through farmlands of villages and forests, we will eventually reach Landruk and you will be accommodated at local teahouse.

Day 06: Trek to Chhomrong [2100m]

From Landruk, you will march along the mountainous path of stone steps, pass through a hamlet, cross a suspension bridge and then come across a dense forest of bamboos. Your trek will not stop here. After trekking for a while, you will approach teahouses at Jhinu where you can rest and enjoy a drink or snacks. Thereafter, you will resume your trek to the north, descending Daaulu and after walking for five hours you will reach Chomrong which is the best place to observe the prominent and mesmerizing view of Machhapuchhre.

Day 07: Trek to Himalaya hotel [2850m]

Today you will have to first go downhill to the river called Chomrong and then uphill to Khudi-ghar. Hiking through dense bamboo forest and rhododendron bushes, amazing landscapes, and the Annapurna Himalaya range, the trail will take you to your final destination of the day, i.e., Himalaya Hotel.

Day 08: Trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp [3700m]

After breakfast, your day will start climbing the route onwards Himalaya Hotel (2840m). On the way you can explore the Hinku cave. After lunch, the trail will continue to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp for overnight stay where you can have the closest glimpse of the Machhapuchhre along with Annapurna-I and Gangapurna. 

Day 09: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp [4130m]

This day you be descending through a small ridge branching out from the mountain pass to mountainside with wide spread terraced fields showcasing tranquil meadows and lush fertile farming lands. As soon as you reach Annapurna Base Camp, you will witness awesome picturesque landscapes, majestic panoramic view of snow-capped mountainous peaks and varied Himalayan cultural settings tucked beneath the southern slopes of the Annapurna massif in 360 degree angle.

Day 10: Trek to Bamboo [2300m]

Upon discovering the Annapurna Base Camp, today you will head towards Bamboo by passing the dense forest of mixed plant life, Rhododendron & Oak trees and grasslands. After 5 hours of walk, you will be at Dovan where you can take a break for lunch. After Dovan will decend towards Bamboo where we halt for the day. 

Day 11: Trek to Chhomrong [1940m]

This day you must trek up to Sinuwa by walking around for 1.5 hours. This trail offers you the similar kind of objects to see and observe as you saw during the previous days of trek i.e. forests, landscapes, and sights of great Himalaya range. You will reach Chhomrong which is the vantage point to glimpse heavenly sight of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Machhapauchhre etc.

Day 12: Trek to Ghandruk [1950m]

Today, you will be proceeding ahead to Ghandruk . Leaving the terraced fields of Chhomrong, we will decend towards Kimrong Khola. From here you ascend, you will pass through the dense rhododendron forest to Kimrong danda from where you can view the village of Old Ghandruk and panoramic view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli , Gangapurna and Machhapuchhre. From here its about an hour of walk to Ghandruk.

Day 13: Trek to Nayapul[1050m] & Drive to Pokhara

After enjoying the village and mesmerizing sights of Annpurna range, you will leave Ghandruk and decend to Nayapul through the villages of Kimche, Chane & syauli bazaar where you will be picked up by vehicle to transfer to Pokhara. The drive will take about 1 hour to reach the City of Lakes, Pokhara. Our Hotel lies at Lakeside. 

Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu

After breakfast, you will be driven to the Pokhara airport and we will fly back to Kathmandu. The entire day in the capital is free for some shopping and relaxation. Its a last day of our whole trip so at the end your Leader will organize last group dinner before you leave. 

Day 15: Depart Kathmandu

After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take you to the international airport for your flight home. If you want to continue your stay in Nepal for short tours i.e. National parks, rafting, mountain biking, hiking, etc., please do let us know. We will be proudly serving your needs.
