Nepal is the landlocked country situated in South Asia between China in the north and India in the south, east and west. It is an unparalleled land of scenic beauty and one of the most diverse geographical regions on earth; Although the country is relatively small with (147, 181 sq km; 800km long and 200km wide), 80% of its territory is occupied by the peaks of Himalayas and has the eight of the ten highest peaks in the World including Mt. Everest which rises above 8000 meters. Nepal is divided mainly in four regions the high Himalayas, the mid-hills, the Kathmandu Valley and the southern plains of the Terai region.  The populations consist of about a 101 ethnic groups speaking over 92 languages.  The ethno cultural groups of those regions maintain their unique lifestyle, language and cuisine. Though, Nepal is a multi lingual, Nepali is the native language and English is widely spoken and understood. Religions practiced in Nepal are: Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Jainism, Sikhism, Bon, ancestor worship and animism. The majority of Nepalese are either Hindus or Buddhism.

Nepal is also known as the birth place of Lord Buddha (the Light of Asia). Renowned as a home to "A Trekkers' Paradise" is also rich and famous for its art and architecture and its world heritage sites recognized by UNESCO. With diversity of landscape, flora and fauna unmatched throughout the world, the diverse nature and a variety of ethnic culture make travelling a truly amazing experience. Not only this Nepal has some of the popular hiking, trekking, rock climbing, peak climbing, mountaineering, kayaking, rafting, cannoning, wildlife safari, mountain biking, paragliding, cultural heritage sites and many more adventurous activities.
